This video explores how immunotherapy boosts the body’s own immune system to fight cancer. It focuses on checkpoint inhibitors, the most widely used form of immunotherapy for cancer in Australia.

Information on how to manage side effects of treatment is also covered. We have used a traffic light system to help you recognise red side-effects which you need to act on quickly and get medical help for, amber side-effects which need monitoring and some advice, and green side-effects which can be safely managed at home.

It’s also a good idea to download the Immunotherapy and you booklet to learn more about what you can expect when you go through immunotherapy.
