Working With Communities

Pfizer CARES is the Corporate Social Responsibility program at Pfizer Australia. Pfizer CARES for the community through:

  • supporting The Smith Family as the Pfizer colleagues charity of choice in 2016
  • providing colleagues with up to four days of volunteering every year
  • Pfizer CARES community grants
  • hosting the Red Cross Mobile Blood bank service several times a year
  • taking part in team and individual volunteering activities
  • colleague donations and fundraising initiatives

In 2015, Pfizer Australia contributed approximately $3 million in grants and sponsorships towards numerous patient group awareness, education and support programs as well as independent Health Care Professional education. Pfizer Australia’s decade long sponsorship of the Starlight Foundation has generated more than $1 million for the charity.

Pfizer Australia is also a member of SupplyNation, which provides a direct business-to-business purchasing link between corporate Australia, government agencies and Indigenous-owned businesses.

Pfizer Australia provides charitable support to organisations at a corporate level, and this is boosted by the additional efforts of our colleagues who raise funds and use their volunteer days to assist charities and patient support organisations.

Our colleagues are provided with up to four days of paid volunteer leave per year and are encouraged to serve their local communities by volunteering with an organisation of their choice.

Pfizer also invites the Australian Red Cross Mobile Blood Service on campus throughout the year so colleagues can roll up their sleeves and donate blood.
