Western Sydney Industry Award 2005

At a gala awards dinner in June 2005, Pfizer Australia was announced the winner of a prestigious Western Sydney Industry Award in the 'Leader in Business Practice - Leader in Organisational Excellence' category.

We were also Highly Commended in the 'Leader in Business Practice - People Management, Learning & Development' category. 'Leader in Organisational Excellence' encompassed the areas of Knowledge Management, Environmental/Energy Management, Occupational Health & Safety Processes, and People Management, Learning & Development. This particular award is not awarded every year.

Regional Director, John Young, accepted the Award, in front of other local business leaders, Minister for Western Sydney, The Hon. Diane Beamer MP, and NSW Premier, The Hon. Bob Carr MP. John commented on winning the Award: "Pfizer Australia always aspires to be an employer of choice and receiving this Award is a great recognition for our workforce. It's also good to be recognised within our local community of Western Sydney."
